Austin WTP4 Team Honored by ENR Texas & Louisiana

On December 8, the Austin Water Treatment Plant No. 4 (WTP4) team was presented the Award of Merit in the Water/Environment category by Engineering News-Record (ENR) Texas & Louisiana. The project was honored during the 2015 Best Projects Awards luncheon in Houston, Texas.

After decades of political, funding and environmental challenges, Austin’s Water Treatment Plant No. 4 was completed, commissioned and started up in November 2014. With multiple components, the city of Austin chose the construction manager at-risk method to keep all segments in a single contract, making this one of the largest CMAR projects in Texas.
