Bakewell STW Wins Gold at Considerate Constructors Awards
Huge congratulations are in order to the Bakewell STW project who was recently awarded Gold in at the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards 2017. The awards were held in Manchester on March 23 and is the second year in a row MWH Treatment has received Gold.
This is a fantastic achievement for the team as the CCS recognizes those sites that have been exemplary in raising awareness for considerate construction and improving the image of the construction industry. The CCS take into account how much the public, the workforce and the environment were factored in when the construction project began.
The team were awarded for their attention to site presentation and excellent standards with signage, dress code and branding which all contributed to making a positive impression to all visitors. They were also environmentally sensitive of the area having fully researched and understood the comprehensive measures that had to be put in place.
The site used the safety improvement suggestion scheme as a way to raise funds for local causes with contributions being matched-funded by subcontractors. Additionally there was excellent training available and a support network for apprenticeships and people new to the industry. They really went above and beyond to make the Bakewell STW a standard bearer for MWH Treatment.
This site is a huge credit to MWH Treatment and further reflective of the care and consideration we take when approaching our construction projects.
