Imagine a Day Without Water – Elementary School Art Contest
Could you imagine a day without water? It’s hard to imagine even a single day without our world’s most valuable resource.
Turn on the tap, and clean water flows out. Flush the toilet, and dirty water goes away. When you have reliable water service, you don’t have to think about the infrastructure that brings water to your home or business and returns it safely to the environment – but you should. On Imagine a Day Without Water, we ask everyone to consider what their day would be like if they couldn’t turn on the tap and get clean drinking water, or if you flushed the toilet and wastewater didn’t go anywhere. What would that day be like? MWH is hosting an art contest for elementary school students to use their creativity and show us why they think water is valuable and what a day without water would look like.
MWH has partnered with Imagine a Day Without Water, a national education campaign put on by the Value of Water, to highlight how precious and essential water is to our world. Students through Grade 5 are encouraged to create a piece of art that details what a day without water would look like and why having clean water is so important to our world. Be creative – we would love to see your drawings, videos, and anything else you can think of.
