MWH Treatment Wins Top Safety Award

The British Safety Council’s International Safety Award is presented in recognition of the commitment from MWH Treatment to keeping their workers and workplaces healthy and safe during 2016.

For an organization to win this coveted award it must provide evidence that it has comprehensive health and safety policies in place. It must also show a clear commitment to health and safety from the boardroom to the shop floor and be committed to promoting a positive safety culture throughout the business. It is important that the winning organizations are able to demonstrate the competence of those responsible for the management of health and safety and can provide clear evidence about the improvements that have been achieved in health and safety during the year.

Now in their 59th year, the International Safety Awards recognize and celebrate organizations from around the world which have demonstrated to the satisfaction of the scheme’s independent judges their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health during the previous calendar year.

Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated MWH Treatment on their success in winning an International Safety Award 2017 with Merit: “The British Safety Council commends MWH Treatment on their achievement. The award is in recognition of their commitment and efforts to keep their employees and workplaces free of injury and ill health.”

Rolfe Nuttall, MWH Treatment Managing Director for Waste to Energy, commented, “This is a great accolade for MWH Treatment and it demonstrates that all our employees are committed to our vision of ‘providing a safe and healthy environment that is free from harm for every life we touch’. This achievement reiterates that health, safety and wellbeing is everyone’s responsibility. Thank you and well done to everyone involved.”
