MWH Treatment receive two finalist places at the Digital Construction Awards

Great news coming from the Minworth THP site in the UK as we picked up two award finalists places at the Digital Construction Awards from Synchro Software Ltd. We are ‘Industrial Finalist’ for the Minworth Plant and our Planning Manager Raghu Gondi is a ‘4D Planner of the Year’.

The Digital Construction Awards (DCA) recognise the use of Synchro from projects anywhere in the world and the entry from the Minworth team was rewarded with a place among the finalists.

On the project Synchro was used on reporting Design, Procurement and Construction and in simulations used in 4D digital rehearsals. We effectively demonstrated how Synchro was used through the project life cycle and showed the benefits of the digital rehearsals. A key element to the project was a focus on minimising accident risk through the use of Synchro, these elements helped build a strong case study to put forward to the DCA.

Raghu was named as a finalist for 4D Planner of the Year thanks to his integral role in coordinating the Synchro project at Minworth.

Delivery Manager Tony Davies said of Raghu “I have been so impressed how he has aligned the MWH Treatment digital ambitions and actually embedded a new way of working into the business in such a short time. His coordination of the UK champions and the Pune Centre of Excellence globally has meant that Digital Rehearsals using Synchro Pro 4D has quickly become the MWH Treatment way of working”.

Winners in each category will be announced at the end of September and plaques will be presented at the 2018 Synchro conference in Amsterdam near the start of next year.

Congratulations to the Minworth team and Raghu on receiving this recognition for their excellent work.
