Our Safety Manager in the East Sheila McWilliams is our feature today for Women in Construction Week. With over a decade of experience and expertise in the realm of health and safety, Sheila is passionate about her work and making a positive contribution to the MWH safety culture. She believes that safety is more than a mindset – it’s a lifestyle.
We asked Sheila what she enjoys most about the team she works with at MWH. This is what she had to say:
“I love the encouragement, support, and opportunities to grow in my field with MWH, Slayden, and Methuen leaderships – my village. I love and appreciate my colleagues, their willingness to share/transfer knowledge, and our discussions and respect given to acknowledging diversity of thought across the board. My team is flexible in understanding that there may multiple ways to get to a safer, desired goal. But most of all, it’s my team’s sense of humor that I value.”
During her free time, Sheila enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and outdoor activities.
